Adjectives

Adûnaic adjectives behave like English adjectives, except that they change number with the nouns they are modifying.

 

Case:

Two cases, Singular (nominative) and Plural, which are inflected like noun Nominative and Plural inflections.  They may also be declined in the Objective case when part of a verbal compound.

 

Vowel-combinations:

The usual vowel-combinations apply.

 

Examples:

Bawâb dulgu: “The wind (was) black

*Bawîba dulgî: “The winds (were) black

Agani khôrun turrutha: “the dead lord was burned”

Buruda labân dunna azra-dalad: “the heavy bag sank under the sea”

Kalama banânâim, yanakkham raphâda:  “the merry hobbits, they came to the tree”
