Optative mood

As in most Indo-European languages, the optative mood in Adûnaic indicates a possible situation, a wish or desire for something.

Verb Plural

Add the prefix du- to the verb. If there are other prefixes, du- is prefixed on top of them.

Examples:

*Azrîya duphursâ akhâsada, “That the seas may gush into the chasm.”

Rabîm dulugnam sarîkh, “The dogs should swallow the flesh.”

-Nardûwîm duyunâkhim, “the soldiers, they should (be) coming”.
