Represents the most basic form of a verbal expression from which a word (or words) has been derived from.

 

χ.

Stand in for -kh- in khibil. (Pronounced -ch- as Scottish “loch”).

 

ð.

Pronounced -th- as in “thistle” or “there”

 

þ/θ.

Pronounced -th- as in “think” or “thanks”

Pronounced like -sh- (“splash, short, wash, etc”).
