Dual Inflection

A suffix (-at) denoting a pair of an object that is the object of a sentence, no matter what words are used to describe it.

All Nouns: add -at to the end of the noun (remember vowel-combinations with Strong-II and Weak-II nouns!).

If it is a Strong-I noun with identical base and variable vowels, the noun will undergo A-syncope when the dual suffix is added.

Examples:

Amânun kana balkat pâimâ.

“Manwë held the pair of ships with his hands.”

Ammên kâni miyat angê.

“The mother is holding her twins.”

Mîk nâkhi bôrîtad urud-zê.

“the boy is coming to the two rocks at the mountain.”
