When Elros the brother of Elrond chose to abide by his father’s kindred and become man, he became the first ruler of Númenor and chose the title Minyatur (“first-ruler”).

In Primitive Adûnaic (the native tongue of his times), his name would have most likely been rendered as ʔirabâr.
