Lôkho-lâi n.  (Weak-II Common) “Twisted-folk”

Applies specifically to the “magical” dragons of elder ages such as Glaurung, which can be considered as fallen Maiar trapped in dragon flesh, in a similar manner to Sauron’s Werewolves.

Lôkho is used instead of rôkho because being crooked and being a serpent is closely related in Tolkien’s linguistics.

Fun fact: dragons (including even the dumb brutes) are attracted to gold much because of the greater concentration of Morgoth’s “essence” within it.
