-thin n.  (Strong-I Neuter) “building, sanctuary”

Tacked unto names for various monuments and other important buildings to distinguish it from names for people.  It occupies a similar position as -hin (“child, patronymic”), where its default form is in fact as a suffix, but may be used as a standalone word after lengthening the base vowel (thîn).
