obnôz- v.  “to advance, move (forward)” (biconsonantal-verb)

From nôz- (“to move”) with the postposition -ob (“fore, before”) added before it to make it clear it is not merely fulfilling its normal role.

For its opposite see nadnôz- (“retreat, move [backwards]”).
