*zir- v.  “to love, desire” (biconsonantal-verb)

In the current attempt to disambiguate it from bêl- (“to befriend, love”), zir- refers to eros (love between sexes) and agappe (charity) under the first commandment to “love your God with all your heart, mind, soul, and body,” while bêl- refers to storge (affection) and philia (friendship) under the second commandment “thou shalt love they neighbor as thyself”.
